光纤的微小弯曲。
微弯是指光纤的微小弯曲,是指即使宏观上光纤是直的但是也会产生弯曲损耗的情况。它同样会影响偏振模式色散。
不仅在从预制棒中拉制光纤的过程中会产生微弯,另外光纤成缆或者缠绕的时候也会产生。微弯的大小与成缆或缠绕技术密切相关。对于现代的通信光纤,需要使微弯最小化。
有时也会人为的引入微弯曲,例如实现一种特殊种类的光纤布拉格光栅[5]。
